
TERMS OF USE
Including Training License Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Norton Arts website, training materials, online courses, coaching programs, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization (including purchasing seat packs or training for staff), you represent that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of that organization.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using any Norton Arts Services, including participating in training programs such as A.S.P.I.R.E.™ and all related Norton Arts training programs, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use, all applicable policies, and any additional terms referenced within specific training modules or licensing agreements.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the Services.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To access training programs, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age;

Provide accurate account information;

Have the authority to enroll yourself or, if applicable, staff within your organization;

Comply with all licensing and usage restrictions outlined in these Terms.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
To access the Services, learners must create a member account. You are responsible for:

Keeping login credentials confidential;
-
Ensuring your account is not shared with others;
-
Maintaining up-to-date contact information;
-
Notifying Norton Arts of any unauthorized account use.
Norton Arts reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. TRAINING LICENSE AGREEMENT
All Norton Arts training programs—including all A.S.P.I.R.E.™ programs and training services, self-paced modules, downloadable resources, workbooks, videos, and interactive activities—are protected by copyright and licensed for use under the following conditions:
4.1 Individual License (Standard Use)
Unless otherwise stated, all purchases are for individual use only, which includes:

One learner
-
One account
-
Non-transferable access
-
Personal educational use only
You may not:
-
Share login access
-
Redistribute training materials
-
Print or distribute workbooks for others
-
Screen videos to groups
-
Upload materials to any external platform
-
Reproduce, modify, sell, or teach the material as your own
4.2 Organizational License (Seat Packs)
Organizations purchasing training must obtain:

An annual organizational license, and
-
A seat pack for each participant
Organizational clients may not:
-
Assign one seat to multiple employees
-
Share downloaded materials across departments
-
Use workbooks or videos for training staff without seat licenses
-
Present the content as an internal training program or proprietary framework
Norton Arts retains the right to request verification of seat usage.
4.3 Instructor / Facilitator Restrictions
Unless an organization has purchased a formal instructor license (not currently offered), no individual or organization may:

Teach, deliver, or facilitate A.S.P.I.R.E.™ content

Derive their own training system from A.S.P.I.R.E.™
-
Promote themselves as “certified to teach A.S.P.I.R.E.™”
Certificates issued through the platform recognize completion, not instructor qualification.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content within the Services—including training modules, workbooks, interactive exercises, scripts, video materials, illustrations, branding, techniques, verbal frameworks, and all related intellectual property—is owned exclusively by Norton Arts.
You agree not to:

Copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any materials

Create derivative works
-
Remove branding, watermarks, or copyrights
-
Use content for commercial purposes without written consent
-
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary content
Unauthorized use may result in account termination, legal action, and revocation of access without refund.
6. USE OF TRAINING MATERIALS
Training materials are provided solely for improving personal and professional skills. You may use the content for:

Personal learning
-
Workplace development (if licensed)
-
Skill application in real-world environments
You may not use the content for:
-
Teaching others
-
Creating internal training manuals
-
Professional consulting
-
Curriculum design
-
Workshops
-
Safety certification programs
These forms of use require a separate written license.
7. PAYMENT, RENEWALS, AND ACCESS PERIODS
When you purchase a course or license:

Access is granted for the specified duration (e.g., 60 days for PDT).
-
Organizational licenses renew annually unless otherwise agreed.
-
Seat packs are valid for one year after purchase.
-
Expired accounts may lose access to certificates or progress logs.
All prices are listed in CAD unless otherwise stated.
8. REFUNDS, WITHDRAWALS, AND CANCELLATIONS
Refunds are governed by the official Norton Arts Refund & Withdrawal Policy.
Unless otherwise stated:

Refunds are not issued once materials are accessed or seats activated.

Organizational purchases are final.
-
Seat pack allocations cannot be transferred to new staff without approval.
9. CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your use of the Services is also governed by:

The Privacy Policy (site-wide)

The Training Privacy & Data Policy (training-specific)
These documents explain how learner data is collected, used, stored, and protected.
10. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You agree not to:
-
Share or sell access to the training
-
Upload harmful code or disrupt the platform
-
Attempt to access other learners’ accounts or data
-
Misrepresent your identity or organizational authority
-
Use A.S.P.I.R.E.™ content to train staff without proper licensing
-
Engage in abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour toward instructors or participants
Violations may result in immediate account termination.
11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Norton Arts does not guarantee specific personal or professional outcomes and is not responsible for:

Misuse of training content
-
Injuries resulting from improper application of self-protection strategies
-
Organizational discipline decisions
-
Employer use of training results
-
Third-party actions or platforms
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law:

Norton Arts is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Services in question.
13. TERMINATION OF ACCESS
Norton Arts may suspend or terminate access if:

Terms are violated
-
Licensing conditions are breached
-
Fraudulent activity is detected
-
Unauthorized distribution of materials occurs
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of Prince Edward Island.
15. UPDATES TO THESE TERMS
Norton Arts may update these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Services indicates acceptance of revised Terms.
